To add a description to a work location

Bentley OpenUtilities Designer gives each work location a default name based on its type-Point or Span. This identifier (such as P1 or S1) is displayed in the Name column of the Design Workspace. With the Work Location Properties dialog box, you can add a description of the work location to distinguish it more easily from other work locations.

You can also edit the Description column of the Design Workspace directly by double-clicking the grid cell.

1. From the list of work locations displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the work location and then select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Work Location Properties dialog box.
2. In the Description box, type a description and click OK.
   Note: To edit the Description property directly in the Design Workspace, double-click the Description column and type a new description. Then press the Tab key or the Enter key or click a different area of the Design Workspace. To cancel the change, press the Esc key.
